NEW YORK, NY - Junior Amanda Cole won the weight throw (52-2 1/2) as the Temple women's track team competed at the unscored NYU FastTrack Invitational on Friday at the New York City Armory. Junior Carlleen Allison also turned in season bests in the 200m (25.70, 10th) and 400m (57.62, 11th) for the Owls. Senior Noelle McKenzie just missed out on breaking her own school record in the 1000m, finishing third in a time of 2:59.68. Classmate Shanice DePass was fifth in the event (3:01.24). Sophomore Brittney McRae was seventh in the 60m hurdles (9.04), followed by junior Devon DuPont (11th, 9.12). Dupont also was 11th in the high jump (5-1). Sophomore Melissa Gale placed sixth in the pole vault (10-8) for TU. Temple will travel to Boston University next weekend for the ECAC Championship.
