The Temple women's lacrosse team gave third-seeded Maryland everything it had but it was not enough to withstand a 12 goal second-half outburst and a stifling Terrapin defense as the Owls fell 20-7 in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Senior Berkley Summerlin led the Owls with three goals as TU ends its season with a 13-7 record. The Terps improve to 18-2 and will face the winner of the Georgetown/Duke First round game next Saturday.
The Temple women's lacrosse team (13-6) will face off against third-seeded Maryland (17-2) in the First Round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament. This will be the third straight time that the Owls have played the Terps in First Round action, with Maryland taking the last two meetings in 2003 and 2004.
