Jillian Kornett joins the Temple women's gymnastics team an assistant coach after being a member of the team for the past four years.
In her senior season, Kornett finished seventh in all-around (35.850) at Ursinus, placed second in the all-around (37.700) against Rutgers, fifth in the all-around at the Liberty Classic, and third in the all-around at the dual meet with Rhode Island. Kornett finished fifth on the vault (9.725) at the ECAC Championships. Kornett was team captain in her final season.
For her 2006 season, Kornett posted season and team highs on the vault (9.625) against Penn, Maryland, and Towson. She also recorded team highs on floor exercise (9.575) at the ECAC's.
Kornett trained at Rebound Gymnastics under coach Diane Farrell prior to her years competing at Temple. She was a level 10 New Jersey State all-around competitor and regionals qualifier.
PERSONAL: Majoring in kinesiology and exercise science.
