PHILADELPHIA - Temple field hockey was well represented on the 2007 All-Philadelphia Field Hockey Team, as seniors Alli Lokey, Ashley Bird and junior Erin Hanshue were among the 16 Philadelphia area collegiate field hockey players selected. The team includes players from the six Philadelphia Division I field hockey institutions - Drexel, La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's, Temple, and Villanova. Lokey earned the Second Team All-American honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and womensfieldhockey.com. She led the A-10 in eight different statistical categories at the end of the season and was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Year. The Bainbridge, PA native is the first A-10 Offensive Player of the Year not from Richmond since 2001. She is a member of the 2007 First Team Mid-Atlantic Region team. Bird was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year for her 2007 campaign. She was also named First Team All Mid-Atlantic Region, First Team All Atlantic 10, and Atlantic 10 All-Academic. She also tallied a career high 3 goals and 2 assists for 8 points. Hanshue played every minute in goal for the Owls last season, tallying a career high 124 saves and a .805 save percentage. She the season ranked third in the nation for save percentage and second in the Atlantic 10 for saves.
