After a strong day on the river Friday, the Temple women's crew failed to qualify any of its three shells for the finals place second in their heats on Friday of the 70th Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday. The Owls' Varsity 8, Freshman/Novice and Lightweight 8 placed sixth, fifth and fourth, respectively, in their semifinal heats.
Temple women's crew had two of its shells place secnd in their heats on Friday to qualify for Saturday's semifinals of the 70th dad Vail Regatta. The Owls' Varsity 8, Freshman/Novice 8 join the Owls' lightweight 8 in Saturday's final day of competition. Temple women's crew will row four shells at the 70th annual Dad Vail Regatta, when the largest intercollegiate rowing event with over 115 colleges competing officially gets underway this Friday morning. The Owls will compete at the Varsity 8, Varsity 4, Lightweight 8 and Freshman/Novice 8 boats at the Regatta, held on the Schuylkill River. Read More >
The Temple Varsity 4 was the lone Owl boat to advance to the grand final at the 2008 ECAC Metro Rowing Championships held Sunday on the Cooper River. The race was the final tune-up before this weekend's Dad Vail Regatta. Read More >
