PHILADELPHIA -
The Temple Varsity 4 placed a close second to Saint Joseph's at the Kelly Cup Regatta Saturday afternoon on the Schuylkill River. The Owls finished fourth in the Varsity 8, third in the Second Varsity 8 and second in the freshman 8.
The varsity 4, comprised of coxswain Jennifer Azeles, Carolyn Bailey (stroke), Mary Peach (3-seat), Brynn Moore (2-seat) and Kelly McAndrew (bow), finished just one second behind rival SJU.
The Second Varsity 8 was comprised of coxswain Maureen McDermitt, Laura Austin (stroke), Katie Hoban (7-seat), Danielle Britton (6-seat), Nicole Wagner (5-seat), Meagan Rudge (4-seat), Jacqueline Swan (3-seat), Colleen Bianco (2-seat) and Sarah Cadman (bow).
The varsity 8 was comprised of coxswain Jill Ploof, Anne Mikolajewski (stroke), Laura Scullin (7-seat), Mary Webster (6-seat), Kendra Dickinson (5-seat), Bailey Chick (4-seat), Amanda Barr (3-seat), Jessica Herrman (2-seat), and Laura Altimari (bow).
The Owls' Novice 8 was comprised of coxswain
