Former Temple women's basketball standout Cynthia Jordan returns to North Broad Street as a graduate assistant for the 2007-08 season. The Chesapeake, Va. native spent the last year playing professional basketball in Switzerland. She will assist with film exchange, community relations and recruiting.
Jordan finished her Temple career as one of the most prolific players in TU history, leading the Owls to their first-ever Top 25 national ranking, a 25-game winning streak, three Atlantic 10 titles and the NCAA Tournament Second Round as a senior. A First Team All-Atlantic 10 and All-Big Five selection in 2005, Jordan holds the Liacouras Center record for free throws made (14) and attempted (17) in a game. As a junior, she earned a spot on the Big Five's second team. Jordan graduated ranked in the top 10 in numerous statistical categories, including career free throw percentage (78.2), in which she ranks first, career assists (296), career three-point field goal attempts (327) and career three-point field goal percentage (36.4). She also makes two appearances on the single season three point field goal percentage and single season assist lists.
Upon returning from Switzerland, Jordan worked at the Dawn Staley Foundation, helping to organize its summer basketball league and annual "Day in the Park."
Jordan is currently pursuing a graduate degree in sport and recreation management.
