MINNEAPOLIS - Senior Luke Vexler finished in first place on the rings, but the #9 Temple men's gymnastics team lost for the first since January 26th, falling to #8 Minnesota and #10 Nebraska on Saturday evening.
The Owls finished the tri-meet with a score of 326.100, good for third place. The Gophers won the meet with a tally of 342.800, while Nebraska was second with a 341.900.
Along with his first place finish on the rings (14.450), Vexler also placed fifth on the pommel horse (13.800) and seventh on the parellel bars (14.000). Seneio Sterling Kramer was the other top performer of the Cherry and White, as he finished second on the parellel bars with a score of 14.450. Senior Alex Gorski also performer well for the Owls, finishing tied with Vexler on the floor with a score of 14.450.
The Owls are back in action on Saturday, March 15 when they travel to Annapolis to take on ECAC rival Navy. Action is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
