Holder of numerous Temple baseball records, he batted .412 for his career, a fraction of a point behind Owl Hall of Famer John Marzano. He owns the Temple records for most total bases (147), most extra base hits/season (35), highest slugging percentage/season (.855), highest home run percentage/season (7.0) and highest slugging percentage/career (.791). During the 1985 season, he batted .441, hit 16 home runs (the Temple record for homers in a season at the time) and had 144 total bases. He was named to the East Region All Star Team in 1984, when he led the Owls in batting with a .377 average. He came to Temple as a pitcher and played four different positions under Owl Hall of Fame Coach Skip Wilson. He was a member of two Atlantic 10 Conference championship teams and played in two NCAA regional tournaments. Drafted by the California Angels in 1985, he has played 16 years in the pros with his career highs coming with the (Cal Ripken) Baltimore Orioles.
