An outstanding sprinter in track, he also played three years of varsity football at Temple. The Middle Atlantic Conference 100, 220 and 440 yard dash champion in 1962, he also anchored the Owls' mile relay championship team. Honored as Temple's most valuable trackman after the 1962 and 1963 seasons. Holder of the Temple Stadium records for the 220 and 440 yard events. He was Temple's leading ground-gainer during the 1960 football season, netting 465 yards on 84 carries. A product of Camden, N.J. High School, he also starred there in track and football. Won championships in the 220 and 440 yard dashes and earned numerous honors. Has been a teacher, administrator and coach since his graduation from Temple.
