One of the finest boxers ever to represent Temple, he competed in 1927, 1928 and1929, earning letters each season. Captain of the 1982 team, he boxed both as a light-heavyweight and heavyweight although never weighing more than 175 pounds. Lost only two bouts during his Temple career and was undefeated in 1929. Unbeaten in nine bouts as a professional and reached main bout status. Became interested in sculpturing as a senior and is now world renown for his brilliant work. Frequently honored, he did all of the statues at Veterans Stadium and the figures outside Temple's McGonigle Hall. He is the only creative artist ever to obtain full professional rank at Princeton.
