He ended his basketball career at Temple in 1968 with 1,386 points for his three varsity seasons under Harry Litwack. He is currently 10th on the all-time scoring list. He was the Owls' leading scorer during the 1966-67 season when he totaled 508 points in 28 games for an 18.1 average, the 12th best one season scoring performance in Temple history. As a sophomore in the 1965-66 season, he tallied 485 points for a 17.3 average, 16th best in the Owl scoring derby. During his career, he was first team all ECAC, All-East, All-Middle Atlantic Conference and All-Big 5 team member. He has been named to the Big 5 Hall of Fame. In his junior year, he led the Owls into the NCAA playoffs with his quick moves, deadly jump shot and leaping ability. Temple was invited to the National Invitational Tournament in both his sophomore and junior seasons. He was the most valuable player in the 1967 Quaker City Tournament at the Spectrum. Temple won the championship and he scored 28 points in the title game. His career high of 33 points came during his sophomore year against Rhode Island.
