Stashis was captain of the basketball, field hockey and lacrosse teams for at least one season. As a field hockey player, she was named to the All-College II team in 1956 and the All-College I team 1957 to 1959. Also selected to the All-Philadelphia second team in 1959. Led Temple to a 6-0-2 mark in 1958. Scored 34 points in a basketball game against Beaver College on February 19, 1959 (a record that held for 24 years). Served as treasurer and secretary of the Women's Athletic Association. She received Blazer, Letter and Plaque awards from the WAA. Earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Temple. She teaches and supervises physical education and driver education in New Jersey. A respected official, she received the West Jersey Women's Basketball Official 13 Years Service Award. A native of Audobon, NJ, Stashis serves as a volunteer coach for the Audobon Soccer Association and the St. Rose track team.
