Joe Giunta is in his fourth year as Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Administration at Temple University. In his position at Temple, Giunta administers the following varsity sports: football, men's basketball, men's soccer, golf, baseball, men's and women's tennis and men's crew.
He also oversees the university's athletic facilities, athletic training, equipment and the strength and conditioning area. Giunta currently serves on the Atlantic 10 Conference baseball committee, as well.
Prior to joining Temple athletics, Giunta served as director of athletics at Neumann College in Aston, Pa., for three years. He also served as director of alumni relations and special events at Neumann from 1994-96. Before returning to Neumann as AD, Giunta was director of athletics at St. Edward High School in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1997-00.
Giunta received his bachelor of arts degree in communications from Neumann in 1993 and is a 1997 graduate of Ohio University, where he earned a master's in sports administration and facility management. He played tennis and basketball at Neumann and scored 1,600 points in his basketball career.
